The Events We Cater
We specialize in canapes receptions. Our canapes have great taste and texture. Please ask us to send you our latest selection.
We also cater for Christenings : Specialst Weddings : Funerals : and all those Anniversaries and Celebrations in-between.
No quote is given without a consultation.
It isn’t the size of the event that matters, it is the food.
Our catering style is professional, always reflecting the requirements of the client. Formal where formality is the order of the day, less formal when the client wants a more relaxed atmosphere.
Our food is European in style, born of that doyenne of French Provincial Cooking, Elizabeth David. We place an accent on taste and the successful marriage of ingredients rather than frippery and fad.
We use organic and free range foods should they be up to standard, failing that we source the best possible quality ingredients we can.
Large enough to cope...little enough to care.
We really do do it all ourselves – from inception to actuality.
Hugh as chef, sources, purchases, prepares and cooks just what you asked for and, on the day, is in the kitchen.
Lee is your event p.a. so that once the party gets started you can forget the details and enjoy yourselves as she and her experienced team take over.
Hugh has worked in the Hotel and Catering Industry for 42 years since qualifying in 1973. He has worked throughout the Middle East for the oil and construction industries and since 1983 as a self employed Restaurateur and Caterer. His restaurant, in Sissinghurst, has been listed in the Guide Michelin and AA Best Restaurant Guides for many years and he has brought those skills into the Catering arena the meanwhile.
Lee left her career in nursing and married Hugh adding her caring and management skills to his plan ...... “ to own my own restaurant and to serve good food and good wine in an unpretentious manner ”. Her organising skills, event catering knowledge and calm common sense allows her to handle any event.
We will ensure that your staffing levels are correct. Our experienced teams are hardworking, diligent and adaptable and they take pride in serving our food.
Your Enquiry and the Initial Meeting
When you make an enquiry either Lee or Hugh will respond. If we have your date free it will be temporarily booked and an appointment made to meet with you. There is no charge for this meeting.
We will listen to your visions and expectations and from what you describe we will devise a menu plan for you.
Once a menu and costing schedule is accepted, a first deposit is paid to confirm the date. This deposit will be deducted from your final invoice.
It is our experience that your thoughts and ideas evolve as the planning continues. We meet again, talk on the phone or correspond by e-mail to help you create your event.
Planning the Menu – Range of Dishes
Our clients come to us knowing the food will have good taste. Our prices are comparable to other caterers in the area. We respect your individuality and therefore do not send out pre fixed menus. If, however, you are undecided about whether or not to contact us please see the genuine testimonials at the bottom of our web-site.
Table Setting and Equipment
The Hire Company we use provides attractive classic, modern, impeccably clean china, glass, cutlery and linen. We will guide you and, if you wish, arrange a private viewing of the table setting so that you can choose which style you prefer. Delivery and collection are made with courtesy and care plus a free washing up service is included.
You may choose to supply some or all of the drinks your-selves. Hugh will give advice on wines to compliment the foods if asked, our wine merchant offers free delivery of wines and Kentish Hills water, on a sale or return basis. Experienced bar and waiting staff are provided.

Our Event Catering Company is situated in the centre of the charming village of Sissinghurst, renowned for the National Trust’s Castle Gardens. TN17 2JH. We cover Kent and East Sussex.
